The workspace’s tables and data are all accessible to users who enter it in Workspace-Context mode.Ī user can only access the resource’s data in any tables to which they have been granted access if they access the workspace in resource-context mode. #Log analytics workspace pricing upgrade
There are no BigQuery ingestion or storage costs when you upgrade a bucket to use Log Analytics and then create a linked dataset. BigQuery pricing: BigQuery analysis charges apply to SQL queries run from the BigQuery SQL workspace page. The capacity tiers start at 100 GB per day and provide a discount of up to 25 percent compared to Pay-As-You-Go. There is no charge to upgrade a log bucket to use Log Analytics. With this new model, you pay a fixed fee based on the capacity tier you select for data ingestion. This access control mode does not support granular role-based access control. Published date: 02 October, 2019 A new capacity reservations pricing model for Azure Monitor Log Analytics is now available.

This is the access control mode that the Log Analytics Workspace uses by default. Only resource-based permissions are taken into account and workspace-related permissions for those resources are ignored when a user uses the workspace in resource-context mode. The workspace rights that the user has been granted are applied when they access the workspace when it is in Workspace-Context mode. Only log data from resources that are permitted to use this access control mode can be viewed by the user. Granular role-based access control is possible with this access control mechanism.
